aLICE uSHER

Soprano and producer Alice Usher is one of the co-founders of award-winning company Gothic Opera. As Marketing and Communications Director, Alice is the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to press and publicity for Gothic Opera’s productions. 

Alice completed her BA in English Literature at St Catharine's College, Cambridge, where she held a choral scholarship. She trained at the Wales International Academy of Voice and Trinity Laban Conservatoire, where she was awarded the prize for the highest mark in the MMus degree. Roles sung for Gothic Opera include Matilde in Maria de Rudenz, Katrina in Rip Van Winkle, Alice in Le Loup-Garou and Malwina in Der Vampyr. Her other operatic roles include La Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Jenůfa, and Micaela (Carmen). Alice also sings as a professional soprano in the Philharmonia Chorus and Methodist Central Hall Westminster.
